With JUMP! On Demand, when you bring in your current phone to swap out for a new one, it will need to be in good working condition. If the device is damaged, the fees range from $40 up to $350 per the amount of damage, depending on the device. We highly recommend adding handset insurance for ultimate peace of mind. Protection covers accidental damage, mechanical breakdown, loss, and theft, and provides a replacement phone up to two times in twelve months after the deductible or any processing fees are paid. If a device is damaged and does not pass inspection at trade-in, you must file a claim for the damaged device through Protection and pay the deductible or any processing fee to replace it before a trade-in for an upgrade can be initiated. However, this can be handled in one visit to a participating T-Mobile store. If you want to file a device protection claim but not process an upgrade, you can call the vendor directly without a store visit.
This isnt working for me. i have a family plan but no employer discount and they keep telling me that I cant cancel. I didnt think a contract could be changed unless both parties agree? I dont agree with the changes and im not a fan of sprints service. I was told by the rep at my store that its was great and data was fast and what not. It was good until my 14 day return period was up. On the 15th day everything went to crap. Dropped calls extremely slow data or none at all. I called and tried to find out what was wrong and tried to return the phones but i would have to pay a etf. Needless to say ive been looking for a way out since then and now more than ever bc i just got laid off from work. Can anyone give me some advice on how to cancel without paying the etf?
Selling your phone is, essentially, an easy and free way to cancel the contract with your carrier. However, for this option to work, you have to pay off your phone immediately. After canceling your contract, you will be able to sign up for any other plan that you want.
If you have a contract with a service provider, you typically have to pay a monthly installment until you pay off the phone. After paying for the phone, you can cancel the contract without paying an Early Termination Fee (ETF.) If you want to cancel the contract before paying off the phone, however, you may have to pay the ETF that your contract stipulates.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to sell a leased Sprint phone. With a financing contract, you buy the phone, and if you sell it, you can use the money to pay it off immediately. With a lease, however, the phone is not yours to sell. If you choose to buy the phone after the lease term, you are free to sell it.
Sometimes, carriers offer contract buyout deals that pay off your smartphone and any early termination fees as an incentive to switch to their services. To qualify for these deals, you may have to trade in your current phone for a new one. However, if the program offers the new phone at a discount, it may help to offset the balance of your existing carrier.
T-Mobile eliminated two-year contracts long before the other carriers. It now has the most options for monthly installment plans. The access fee for smartphones is $50 for the first line, $30 for the second line and $10 for additional lines, with each line coming with 2GB of data. Additional data can be bought for individual lines in sets of 4GB for $15 each. This is different from the other carriers, which sell data in buckets that can be used by lots of different people on the same plan.
For phones not on a two-year contract, the access fee per phone line is $20 per month. Users can then buy buckets of data that can be shared among 10 devices for prices ranging from $20 per month for 1GB to $225 for 60GB.
Big-name carriers are hopping on the no-contract bandwagon, offering many of the benefits of a traditional phone plan at a fraction of the cost. One new service is from a Verizon-owned company called "Visible", which is offering unlimited data and no-contract plans starting at $30/mo. There are many smaller providers that offer similar or cheaper plans, though these range from carrier-like services such as Visible to third-party MVNOs that pre-purchase network access for their customers to use.
I previously had AT&T's 3G service. Back then I owned an iPhone 3GS. I really loved that service and the speed. I only went to Sprint because I thought we could get more for our money with the unlimited data service. But the service is so slow, we can barely use our phones. I'd like to switch back to AT&T. But I've only been on my contract with Sprint since February of this year.
Sprint changed its fee policy last year, and since September 9, 2011, it charges $350 per device to terminate a contract. The early termination fee is prorated, which means that as more time passes, you will pay less to terminate the fee. The way Sprint figures out the fee is that it charges $20 per month for each month that's left on your contract with a maximum fee of $350 and a minimum of $100 per device. The prorated fees don't kick in until 18 months into your contract. Since you got your phones in February, you've got another couple of months left until that fee will start to go down.
This is why it's so important to do a bit of research before you enter one of these contracts. Before you sign up for a contract with a new carrier, you need to ask friends, family co-workers anyone else you know who lives and works where you need cell phone coverage what they think of their service. This will give you a much better idea about coverage and the quality of the network service instead of relying solely on the carrier's coverage map. 041b061a72
